The combination of pickleball and baseball noise and traffic has changed what was once a quiet neighborhood for more than 30 years.

The new baseball facility for Ladner Minor Ball that will be in Cromie Park, is not welcomed by this letter writer.

Re: LMBA training facility in Cromie Park (Optimist, March 21)

I live on 42B avenue that leads to Cromie Park. This park is at the end of a street, so what does that mean? That means that whoever is going to the park will go down this avenue and exit this avenue, which leads to traffic all day long in the spring, summer and fall.

We have pickleball traffic, baseball traffic, elementary drop off and pick up traffic, city lawn care traffic, city water truck traffic, and the residents that live in the area traffic.

The new noise and the new traffic in this area was not planned with any consideration.

We residents don’t just come by for a visit to the park and then leave. No. We live here and have no choice now, but to put up with it. It is ridiculous the planning of this park. It has affected many who live in this area. The new parking lot they built is a joke.

With the new baseball building and the new baseball diamond let’s see how well this parking lot will manage the capacity of vehicles. The combination of pickleball and baseball noise and traffic has changed what was once a quiet neighborhood for more than 30 years.

And I am tired of hearing…. well you can move or what do you expect living next to a park?

Did I not say it was quiet before? Did you build your forever home and invest a lot of money into it?
