Where to put the new building - which excludes where the current one is located, is a rhetorical question.
It cannot go where the current building is, and it won’t be placed on the east side of the park where a massive, expensive ballpark sign was recently installed, the expensive fake turf and lawn bowling to the north aren’t in play. Then the only option is where it likely was pre-determined by staff to go - where all the trees are located.
I am frustrated by Delta’s lack of transparency with this. Predetermined to take out the trees along the south-west side (really the only trees in the whole park of note).
Disingenuous is how I characterize the “community engagement” aspect of this. Whomever is the lead in this charade should really be ashamed of themselves.
