This year’s City of Delta Earth Day Photo Contest winners have been announced.
Mayor George Harvie and council recognized the winners at the May 6 council meeting at the North Delta Centre for the Arts.
Grand prize went to Melissa Alves, the fan favourite award to Nean Lund, the adult category winner was awarded to Daniel Kehl, the youth category winner was awarded to Christian Pichelmann and the child category winner was awarded to Sa Ngo.
Other photographers also recognized with second and third-place prizes were Jayla Szoo, Joel Braun, Pranav Gunti, Griffin Hood, Jeffrey Vanderkley and Mariole Perez.
“A big thank you to everyone who submitted a photo and cast their votes for the fan favourite,” said the City of Delta in a news release. “Your participation made this year’s contest a success! We were blown away by the incredible selection of submissions, showcasing Delta’s natural beauty in diverse ways.”
