CFUW South Delta hosts Delta Naturalist and author

CFUW South Delta invites interested members of the public to join them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to hear award-winning naturalist, activist and author, Anne Murray.

The presentation will take place at the Benediction Lutheran Church, located at 56th Street and 6 Ave in Tsawwassen.

Murray has had a life-long interest in birds, nature, ecology, history and different cultures. Those interests have driven not only Anne’s current career as a writer but her many years as a very active, very productive and very acclaimed volunteer.

Her volunteer work has included organizations such as BC Nature, Birds Canada, Nature Canada and others. Locally, she is a founding member of the Delta Naturalists’ Society.

Her writing includes two excellent books of significant local interest: A Nature Guide to Boundary Bay, and the companion volume, Tracing Our Past~ A Heritage Guide to Boundary Bay.

CFUW-South Delta is a member of the CFUW (the Canadian Federation of University Women).

They are a non-partisan, self-funded organization with more than 6,500 members in 96 clubs across Canada.

They have been an active social group in South Delta for more than 50 years, effectively advocating on issues affecting women and children, as well as providing multiple bursaries annually to deserving local women.
