? On Wednesday, April 17, the Delta Chamber of Commerce holds an AFTER 5 Business Social at Tilbury Ice, 7187 Vantage Way, 5 - 7 p.m. Cost: $15 or bring a friend for $25.

? The South Delta Newcomers & Alumni Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7: 15 p.m. at the Art Galley, Kiwanis Longhouse located at 1710-56th St.

? Are you an older driver? It's important to re-evaluate your driving skills regularly. Constable Leisa Schaefer of the Delta Police and Karon Trenaman, Road Safety Program Delivery with ICBC, will give you information about being a safe driver and pedestrian at a free program on Thursday, April 18 at Ladner Pioneer Library, 4683-51st St., Delta at 1: 30 p.m. and at Tsawwassen Library, 1321A-56th St., Delta at 7 p.m. The new DriveABLE program will also be discussed.

Fund Raisers

? Bridge and Afternoon Tea IODE Boundary Bay Chapter Fundraiser on Wednesday, April 24, 1 - 4 p.m. All Saints Anglican Church, 4755 Arthur Dr., Ladner. $10 per person.

? Lift Every Voice, an ecumenical choir and instrumental concert sponsored by the South Delta Ministerial, will take place at Ladner Christian Reformed Church, (54A St and 45th Avenue) on Sunday, April 21 at 7 p.m.

? Ladner United Church's annual Garage Sale, together with an Urban Impact Shredathon is set for Saturday, April 27 at 4960-48th Ave., Ladner.

? The Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Swap Meet takes place at the South Delta Recreation Centre in Tsawwassen on April 28.

Swap Meet doors open at 10 a.m. Admission is $10 and kids under 12 are free.

Arts

? There will be a show, Arranging Flowers, by artist Cecilia Mavrow in the Tsawwassen Library gallery room. Everyone is invited to view these new works in acrylics until April 30.

? Opening Night by Norm Foster opens at The Tsawwassen Arts Centre, runs to April 27 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday only) at 8 p.m. This is bistro seating (dinner theatre without dinner) and refreshments are available for purchase to enjoy during the show.

Adults are $18 and seniors (60+) and students (12-18) are $15. Reservations can be made by calling 604288-2415.

? Treat yourself to a free tour of Patagonia with Tsawwassen photographer and environmentalist, Ursula Easterbrook at the Tsawwassen Library on Thursday, May 2, 7 - 8: 30 p.m.
