After a lengthy, inclusive and comprehensive renaming process, Delta Community Living Society (DCLS) is excited to announce a new name and logo for the organization.

Through extensive consultation with families, persons served, employees, and its board of directors, DCLS has selected the name Kyndred Community Living Society.

With more than 60 years of supporting people with developmental disabilities reach their full potential by living and belonging in the community, Kyndred Community Living Society is proud to launch a new name that is unique and memorable, generates a sense of connection, and reflects the geographic diversity of the organization’s programs in South Delta, North Delta, and Surrey.

“We are so excited to share our new name with the community. We chose the name ‘Kyndred’ as it reflects our deep sense of connection to the people we support and honours our commitment to cultivating an environment where people with developmental disabilities feel seen, heard, and valued,” says Kyndred Community Living Society CEO, Anita Sihota. “While we have a new name and logo, our services, mission and values remain the same. Kyndred Community Living Society will continue its longstanding commitment to facilitating community connections, providing family supports, creating employment opportunities, and offering supportive housing options.”

The name change was first announced at the organization’s annual family picnic on July 12. In the coming months, Kyndred Community Living Society will gradually roll out its new name and branding across the organization, website, and social media channels.
