Students at Delta Secondary School (DSS) in Ladner are once again launching their 20 Days of Giving Campaign to collect food (including pet food), gifts, toiletries and gift cards to create hampers for local families in need to help them enjoy the festive season.
This year, the 20 Days of Giving Campaign runs from Nov. 26 until Dec. 13.
Last year, students raised more than $15,000, including food items, toiletries, and gift cards. Their efforts helped make the holiday season memorable for 25 local families. This year, students are aiming to create hampers for 30 local families.
There are several ways you can support the campaign:
Drop off donations of food or gifts to the drop box outside the school from Nov. 26 to Dec. 13 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. DSS is located at 4615 51st. in Ladner.
On Dec. 3 from 3:30 to 6 p.m., stop by Save-On Foods in Ladner where members of the school’s Interact Club will be on hand collecting donations.
You can also donate cash or gift cards. Please call ahead to the school office at 604-946-4194 to make arrangements. Monetary donations of $25 or more requiring a tax receipt should be provided in a cheque written to Delta Secondary School (memo: 20 Days of Giving).
