Seniors are invited to get into the spirit of a Hawaiian luau at the third annual Ice Cream Social on June 6.

As part of Senior’s Week, the Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society presents the event from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McKee Seniors Recreation Centre in Ladner.

Auxiliary volunteers will be serving up cool delicious treats on the outdoor patio, featuring free ice cream sundaes and an assortment of toppings as well as some amazing Polynesian entertainment from Paul Latta Show Productions performing live at 1:15, 1:45 and 2:15 p.m. (outdoor weather permitting).

“Come on out everyone and let’s celebrate Senior’s Week,” said Auxiliary Lifeline events coordinator Leanna Young in a news release. “Our volunteer team is excited to serve up lots of sundae treats! Organizing this fun yearly event has been such a wonderful way to socialize with our local community and we look forward to another fantastic turnout.”

The Auxiliary thanks the recreation programmers at McKee as well as Save-On-Foods Ladner for their generous support.
