Rick’s Heart Foundation (RHF) is overflowing with gratitude for its new partnership.
Recently, RHF donated the use of a Ford transit van to Green Acres Therapy Horses (GATH) and owners Pamela and Jacqueline Green.
GATH brings hope and healing serving others. They offer mobile opportunities and events at its seaside farm location. They offer horse enrichment visits, workshops and parties, for all ages, groups, abilities and stages of life.
Studies have proven equine assisted activities (EAA) improves physical and mental health, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress and anxiety, promotes conversation, improves self-esteem and confidence.
Spending time with therapy horses increases emotional stability, promotes cognitive and physical regulation, promotes mindfulness, building trust and empathy.
The generous gift of the van from RHF is a dream come true for us at GATH.
In Europe, horse boxes and vans are quite popular, and this van will enable the organization to reach more densely populated areas where parking a truck and trailer can be challenging. Additionally, the van provides a safer environment for transporting their horses.
All of us at Rick’s Heart Foundation, are very excited to see the lives impacted by Pamela and Jacqueline and their unique equine therapy with Magic and Tinkerbell in their Pony Power pink van.
