Below is a list of activities:

Family Bingo on Wednesday, July 17, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Play rounds of Bingo with words and pictures. Prizes for winners of each round. For children ages four 10 and their caregivers.

Create a cardboard loom then fashion a wall hanging with yarn and ribbons using beginner weaving techniques at Weave a Wall Hanging on Wednesday, July 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. Looking for more weaving projects to try after this program? Explore the library database Creativebug for further inspiration.

On Friday, July 26, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., enjoy Family Game Time, a fun afternoon playing a variety of tabletop games. Discover a new game or enjoy an old favourite.

Introduce kids to the love of books and language with early literacy programs such as Babytime and a variety of Storytimes.

If you have an active two-four-year-old, try Toddler Time, every Friday until Aug. 30, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Introduce your toddlers to the joy of books in a fun and friendly atmosphere as well as dancing and songs.

Learn early literacy skills at Clay Play on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. Play with coloured clay using rolling pins, cookie cutters, and other building supplies. For kids ages two to six. Registration is required.

Looking for a place to meet other caregivers and socialize with your baby? Join the fun at Baby Social, every Monday, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Babies and their caregivers can play, socialize, and practice early literacy skills in a safe environment. This program is best suited to children ages 0 to two.

Afternoon at the Drive-in on Thursday, July 18, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. where children ages two to six and their families will explore their creativity by making cardboard cars using Makedo and craft supplies. Afterwards, sit in the cardboard creations to enjoy a screening on Kanopy Kids. Frozen summer treats provided during the movie screening. Registration required. This program repeats on Tuesday, July 30, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Calling all Young Writers, ages nine to 12. Come explore your imagination and develop your creative writing skills on Monday, July 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. for creative writing activities, story games, and writing challenges. Registration is required.

Explore the Art of Collagraphy - printing without a press - to make handmade stamps and art. On Tuesday, July 23, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. create unique art prints with cardboard, craft foam, string, and additional materials. For kids ages eight to 12. Registration is required.

July’s STEAM challenge is Tabletop Pinball Machine on Thursday, July 25, from 2 to 3 p.m. Space is limited. All materials are provided, but it might get messy so please wear appropriate attire. Ages 12 to 15. Registration is required.

Make Mini Canvas Magnets on Wednesday, July 31, from 1 to 2 p.m. Exercise your creativity by exploring marble painting techniques on miniature canvas boards and transform the art into magnets. For kids ages eight to 12. Registration required.

Make and discuss creative projects and exchange ideas at Teen Maker Time on Tuesday, July 16, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Get your creative juices flowing with art/maker prompts, explore new media, and learn new techniques. For ages 12 to 16. July’s theme is 3D Paper Art Builds.

Come explore your imagination and develop your creative writing skills at Teen Writers, on Friday, July 19 and Aug. 23, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ages 13 to 18. Registration is required.

Join library staff for Tea and Tales on Saturday, July 20 and Aug. 17, from 2 to 3 p.m., for a reading of short stories as well as a lively discussion afterwards.

At a Death Café people, often strangers, gather to eat sweets, drink tea and discuss death. It meets once a month, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., on July 23 and Aug. 20. The objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

Have you read a book you feel that more people should hear about? Or is there a book that everyone should avoid at all costs? Sharing is Caring! Join a library staff member to discuss your latest picks and get suggestions from others in turn on Monday, July 29 and Aug. 26, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Join the Monday Evening Book Club. On the fourth Monday of the month, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., meet fellow book lovers to discuss a selected title. New members are welcome. Books are provided. Registration is required.

Pack up your needles and yarn, crocheting and head to the library for Knit Wits, every Wednesday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Knitting, crocheting, quilting and weaving are fun ways to connect across the generations. Join members of all ages and abilities to share ideas, techniques, and good conversation.

Improve your English with fellow newcomers at Conversation Circle, every Thursday, from 5:45 to 7 p.m. Speak about and listen to different topics each week in a safe and friendly space. The fourth Thursday of the month will be game night! Meet new friends, while practicing the English language. Suitable for all levels. Ages 18-plus.
