Harvest Festival was packed near the main stage on opening night.

It turns out that Paterson Park is one of the best festival sites in the entire region, and Barnside Harvest Festival was acclaimed throughout the community as a highlight event in 2023.

The Festival will return in 2024 to celebrate the local harvest with music, markets, food and fun, and farm fresh beer. With thanks to the City of Delta the festival has been approved to take place at Paterson Park in Ladner from Sept. 13 to 15.

Barnside Harvest Festival was able to support many local recording artists with the Ladner Budding Talent Showcase, and with performances on the Market Stage and in the Delta Heritage Pavilion.

Barnside Harvest Festival’s Farm & Artisan Market will again feature the region’s best artisans and crafters, along with locally grown produce and foods.

Applications are now being accepted on the festival website.

Kids and families loved the games and activities in the McDonald’s Kids World zone. Literally thousands of kids enjoyed the crafts, hay maze, mini-golf, story time, face painting and carnival games.

More than 400 dogs and thousands of happy festival attendees and dog-owners also enjoyed Paw Pals Electric Picnic, which presented a first-of-its-kind dog-friendly music festival.

Musical Mats and the Best Dressed Dog Contest were big hits.

New Paw Pals programming is being planned for Sunday afternoon for Barnside ticket holders, so you can plan to bring the kids and dogs on Sunday.

Barnside Harvest Festival will bring back many of the successful attractions from last year, including the Delta Firefighters Charity BBQ, Heritage Pavilion, Farm Market and games.

In 2024, the festival will be adding more bars, food trucks, washrooms and increasing the size of their entry gates and staff.

“We’re also planning to start the festival wristband distribution earlier to reduce line-ups at the gate,” said organizers in a news release.

Sunday night’s concerts will be extended to end at 9 p.m. so watch for the festival announcement to include a full lineup for Sunday as well, offering even better value for three-day passes.

Festival tickets will go on sale in April and a full concert lineup will be released soon.
