Local professional photographer Greg Schurman will be representing Canada at the 2018 World Photographic Cup. His image, titled Corporate Spiral, was among the top three in the commercial category of a national competition. “It’s a true honour to be able to represent Canada in the international photo imaging competition. It’s like the Olympics of photography,” says Schurman, “and I’m going for gold.” A panel of judges scored each image individually with no communication between them. The individual scores were averaged to create a final score for each image. The three images with the highest score in each category became the finalists to represent Canada at the World Photographic Cup.
