Multi-award-winning musician and Order of Canada recipient, Jim Byrnes, returns to Delta’s Genesis Theatre on Nov. 2.

For nearly 50 years, Byrnes has crooned, drawled, belted, hollered, and sweet-talked more songs into a microphone than most people ever get to hear in a single lifetime.

By age 13, Byrnes was singing and playing blues guitar.

Over the years, he has had the great good fortune to appear with a virtual who’s-who of the blues, from Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker to Taj Mahal and Robert Cray.

To his many music awards, including Junos, Maple Blues Awards, and Canadian Folk Music Awards, Byrnes added the Order of Canada in 2022, which acknowledged his impact on the Canadian arts scene as well as his philanthropic work.

Genesis Theatre is located at 5005 45th Avenue in Ladner. Operated by Delta School District, the theatre’s goal is to inspire its community with accessible experiences that celebrate imagination, diversity, and connection.

Reserved tickets are $50 and available at: https://genesis-theatre.tickit.ca/.
