At its March 7 council meeting, civic politicians approved new five-year licence agreements with the North Delta Potters Guild and the Watershed Artworks Society for dedicated space at the North Delta Rec Centre.

A pair of non-profit arts groups have a new home in North Delta.

At its March 7 council meeting, civic politicians approved new five-year licence agreements with the North Delta Potters Guild and the Watershed Artworks Society for dedicated space at the North Delta Rec Centre.

The City and the Guild have had licence agreements since 2010. Initially, for space within the building previously known as artSpace, located adjacent to the North Delta Rec Centre. In 2015, the artSpace facility was demolished and the NDRC was renovated. The renovation included a purpose built space to accommodate the Guild with separate access and egress into the licenced space.

The Guild is a long-standing Delta based not-for-profit group that organizes and provides the instruction and sale of pottery out of the NDRC.

The City and the Society have had licence agreements in place since 2012. Initially, for space within the building previously known as artSpace.

The Society is a Delta based not-for-profit group that provides arts and crafts out of the NDRC. The Society also supports City events, such as the Luminary Festival by setting up a booth and selling items that support the Festival.
