Eagle SkyNet hosts weekend fundraiser in Point Roberts

Eagle SkyeNet, a non-profit eagle monitoring, rescue and education centre in Point Roberts, is hosting a fundraising event to celebrate its 11-year anniversary this Saturday, Aug. 5.

Eagle SunFest will take place from 12:30 to 7 p.m. at the Point Roberts Marina (713 Simundson Dr). Come for a day of music and listen to short talks that raise awareness about eagles and their history in Point Roberts. There also be food, drinks, raffle items, classic car show along with local vendors.

A classic car show will follow along with a vendor village featuring Savilla Creations, Myos Beeswax, BM Charmed, Chef Bruce, SweetWater Ice Cream Truck, and more.

There will also be plenty of food including barbecue hamburgers, fresh cut French fries and drinks.

Eagle SkyeNet is operated by Point Roberts residents Kimberly and Jeff Butts. They have a partnership with OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society in Ladner where they take injured and sick raptors from Point Roberts. You can visit EagleSkyeNet.com for more event information.
