Delta Police have arrested a prolific tagger that has been active in Ladner.
In a Thursday morning news release, DPD say early on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 1, officers in the department’s crime reduction unit identified and arrested the subject of numerous graffiti tags in Ladner.
Police confirm the suspect is an adult male from Delta.
Police say more than 150 graffiti tags have been identified on private buildings and city infrastructure in the downtown core of Ladner since November 2021.
The male was arrested in the process of committing mischief, by tagging a local business in the 5200 block of Ladner Trunk Road. He was processed and released on an undertaking to appear in Surrey provincial court at a later date.
Police will be recommending a charge of mischief under $5,000.
The suspects' name cannot be released until he is charged in court.
