The Bayside Squash, Fitness and Beach Club, which has been under steady renovation since last October when it suffered a burst water main valve, is ready to welcome the community back with an open house this weekend.

The event runs tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is welcome to come down to the Boundary Bay facility to try out the squash courts or enjoy the view while having a workout.

With help from Boundary Bay's own House Call Re-Design and South Side Flooring, the club now enjoys a new ladies locker room, new carpeting in the fitness room all the way up to the kitchen and behind the courts, a fresh coat of paint, a re-designed fitness and cardio room, and a new games room for table tennis.

"We are very excited about our newly renovated facility and looking forward to showing it all off at our open house," said manager Kelly Latremouille. The Bayside Club is home to Delta's only squash courts and boasts some of B.C.'s top players among its members.

The club has a family feel and members all contribute to the care of their much beloved clubhouse. In the summer, members enjoy the beach, kayaks, patios and barbecue.

The club is located at 6788 Corbould Rd., adjacent to the international border. For more
