The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Tuesday, March 20 and Sunday, March 25:

TSAWWASSEN

. March 20, 11: 34 a.m., 1700-block of 56th Street: An Allpower Generator was stolen from the box of a work vehicle parked overnight behind the hotel.

. March 21, 1 p.m., 5200-block of 10A Avenue: The complainant called to advise that two parcels reportedly left at the front door while she was away were missing when she returned. The parcels were prizes the complainant had won in a contest and were valued at around $200.

. March 24, 1 a.m., 300block of 49B Street: Police investigated a complaint of a fence being kicked down by a group of teenage males. Police located the youths a short distance away in a vehicle. The males were arrested and then released on a promise to appear in court.

. March 24, 9: 35 a.m., 4800-block of 3rd Avenue: The complainant heard a bang in the night and on investigation in the morning he found several boards had been kicked down in his fence causing approximately $200 in damage.

. March 25, 4: 08 p.m., 1100-block of Jackson Way: The complainant reported his vacant house was broken into by someone who pried open the rear patio sliding door. The suspect stole a 55-inch flat screen Toshiba TV valued at $1,000.

. March 20, 4: 37 p.m., 4800-block of Delta Street: A local store reported that a young man entered the store, took a black iPhone 4s from the demonstration rack, and then fled. The complainant advised that the phone is a demonstration model and cannot be activated.

. March 20, 11: 44 p.m., the Dike and 72nd Street: The complainant left his zoom lens in a case under a towel in the rear hatch area of his friend's vehicle while he was taking pictures on the dyke. When he returned to the vehicle, the lens and some coins were missing. There was no evidence of forced entry.

. March 22, 7: 33 p.m., 4500-block of Harvest Drive: A witness was able to provide the license number of a vehicle that she observed hitting a parked vehicle and then fleeing the scene. Police located the suspect in a nearby park with his vehicle. The suspect was issued a violation ticket for not possessing a valid driver's license and for failing to remain at the scene of an accident. Damage to the vehicle is under $1,000.

. March 25, 5: 52 p.m., 6600-block of Ladner Trunk Road: The local beer and wine store reported that a person entered the store, selected a $56 bottle of rum, and then left the store without paying. The complainant indicated this was the second theft by this suspect, and provided police with the license number of the suspect's vehicle. Police were able to identify the suspect. Still under investigation pending arrest and charges.
