Canadians earn split with champs

Greater Vancouver Canadians continued their strong play of late in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League by splitting a pair of games with the first place and defending champion Vancouver Northwest Giants last weekend.

Greater Vancouver Canadians continued their strong play of late in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League by splitting a pair of games with the first place and defending champion Vancouver Northwest Giants last weekend. The Canadians dropped a 3-2 decision on Saturday night in Burnaby then returned home Sunday to post a 2-0 victory at the Ladner Leisure Centre.

Chris Tai (above) got the shutout while Cody Gordon and South Delta's Michael Olson-Eyre had the goals. The Canadians sit fourth the league standings and face the Fraser Valley Bruins this weekend.
