Delta Sports Hall of Fame announces 2024 inductees and Sport Champions

Since 2005, the Delta Sports Hall of Fame has honoured athletes, coaches, builders, and supporters from Delta who have excelled in sport or made significant contributions to our sport community.

Since 2005, the Delta Sports Hall of Fame has honoured athletes, coaches, builders, and supporters from Delta who have excelled in sport or made significant contributions to our sport community.

The Hall includes 136 individuals and teams who were inducted for their lifetime achievement. Another 144 Sport Champions have been recognized for their performances each year.

This year, seven more exceptional individuals and groups will join the Hall of Fame, and eight Sport Champions will be recognized.

Team – 2001 Delta Heat, Softball

Builder – Kathy Lane, Softball

Coach – Tom Millar, Soccer

Pioneer – Peter Darvill, Pickleball

Athlete of the Year – Ryan Decenzo, Street Skateboarding

Youth Athlete of the Year – Zach McLeod, Swimming

Youth Athlete of the Year – Camryn Tait, Basketball

Youth Athlete of the Year – Desmond Tregaskis, Baseball

Youth Athlete of the Year – Nistara Uppal, Soccer

Team of the Year – Seaquam AAAA Senior Girls, Basketball           

Coach of the Year – Karen and Mike Kilpatrick, Volleyball

Volunteer of the Year – Tom Brewer, Ball Hockey

These Inductees and Sport Champions will be recognized at the Delta Sports Hall of Fame Banquet of Champions, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn.
