While the seniors enjoy some rest, it’s a big week for the South Delta Sun Devils Junior Varsity team with an opening round provincial playoff game.
The Sun Devils take on the St. Thomas More Knights on Thursday (2 p.m.) at Cloverdale Athletic Park.
Under head coach Scott Martens, the Sun Devils have enjoyed an impressive campaign with a 7-2-0 overall record, including 3-1-0 in conference play. The Knights went 1-3-0 in their conference.
The “home” game for South Delta has to be played on an all-weather field which took Dennison Park out of the equation.
A win would send the Sun Devils to the quarter-finals next week against Central Division champion Vancouver College.
