Ladner FC off to a fast start in new soccer season

Ladner FC is off to an undefeated start in the Fraser Valley Soccer League Division 2.

Last Sunday night (Sept. 29), Ladner broke a 2-2 with 15 minutes to go scoring three goals to defeat Pacific United 5-2 at Dugald Morrison in Ladner.

Bryce Connors had two goals on the night while Nayan Anderson, Euan Aitchison and captain Markus Niebuhr rounded out the scoring.

Simon Hawks and Eric Swanson added assists.

Previous results said Ladner beat Albion United FC 2-1, Spades 4-2 and the Poco Titans 3-1.

Team scoring leaders are Connors now with four goals on the season, Aichison, Anderson, Niebuhr, Cameron Dhaliwal and Vikram Puri all with two goals apiece.

Ladner is back in action this Sunday, Oct. 6 when they hit the road against Surrey United.

Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

Surrey sits in second spot in the standings with a 3-1 record.

Ladner’s next home game is Oct. 19 against GN Sporting set for a 6 p.m. kick-off at Dugald Morrison.
