The Greater Vancouver Canadians continue their pursuit of a top playoff seed in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League when the Okanagan Rockets come to town this weekend for a two game series at the Ladner Leisure Centre.

The Canadians are part of a four-team log jam battling for top spot in the BCMMHL after taking a pair of games from the Kootenay Ice last weekend. Greater Vancouver sits in fourth place with a 1154 record but is just three points back of front-running Cariboo Cougars and Vancouver NW Giants.

In Castlegar, the Canadians rallied with four unanswered third period power play goals to take game one of the series 6-3. Goals from Shane Kumar and Tyler Sandhu just 30 seconds apart ignited the comeback.

Defenceman Arvin Atwal had a big outing with a goal and three assists. Kumar finish with three points.

Game two saw the visitors skate to a more convincing 6-1.

South Delta's Michael Olson-Eyre led the way with a goal and two assists. Sandhu had three helpers.

Game one against Okanagan goes at 11: 15 on Saturday morning. The second game is slated for Sunday at 11: 30.
