Ladner's James Paxton got a surprise as a bald eagle landed on his should during pre-game ceremonies Thursday in Minnesota. Paxton, who plays for the Seattle Mariners, kept his cool and went on to pitch five innings against the Twins, striking out seven while only giving up a pair of runs.
The Mariners would go on to drop a 4-2 decision, giving the team a 3-3 record in the early MLB season.
