It seems very peculiar that having eliminated all the rabbits in Ladner Harbour Park a few years ago because it was not a healthy place for them, it is there that Delta council has decided to move all the soon-to-be neutered rabbits from the municipal hall area.
So why is this place better for rabbits now? There is a picnic area and a children's playground they can cover with pellets and urine for spreading of disease; there is a dog off-leash area that will be wonderful for the owners, the dogs and the rabbits - for extra exercise.
How soon will the neutered population be joined by the usual Easter Bunny drop-off from Delta residents? Soon to be 500 procreating, then diseased rabbits again. It does make one wonder.
