I’m not willing to take the chance that we will lose some or all this progress

Re: Letters concerning MP Carla Qualtrough (Optimist, July 4).

I also read Carla’s newsletter, which arrived in our mailbox.

Both letter writers to your newspaper suggested that Carla has done nothing for Delta. A quick add-up of the “Investing in Delta” section showed an over $103 million investment in just this past year.

Minister Qualtrough said there would be federal money for the tunnel when the provincial government finally gets the project ready to go, so hopefully soon.

And as for wanting change and voting them out… be careful what you wish for.

The Conservatives want to slash and cut many health care programs, food programs and help for working persons with disability as well as a tax credit to seniors with disabilities.

I’m not willing to take the chance that we will lose some or all this progress. Carla has my support.
