Poll question results: Optimist readers not sold on E-bikes just yet

Delta Optimist polled 301 Optimist readers and asked the question: Would you consider buying an e-bike?

The poll ran from June 7 to 14, 2023. Of the 301 votes, we can determine that 126 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

YES 42.86 % local, 41.20 % total    
NO 50.79 % local, 48.84 % total    
I already own one 6.35 % local, 9.97 % total

Results are based on an online study of adult Optimist readers that are located in Delta. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 5.61%, 19 times out of 20.

The Optimist uses a variety of techniques to capture data, detect and prevent fraudulent votes, detect and prevent robots, and filter out non-local and duplicate votes.
