Band members approve leasing rezoned farmland to commercial developers. By leasing the land instead of selling, TFN retains ownership. TFN gets the land back and it gets paid to wait.

TFN also retains all the upside value from the rezoning. It controls the rezoning and it retains the profits from the rezoning.

There may be wisdom in the study of that business model for us regular Tsawwassen residents.

Delta has acquired land for an animal shelter, so why not some inexpensive unused farmland for housing?
