In a heartwarming show of community support, local community members Dave and Yvonne Anderson, along with Bob and Margaret Meggy, have contributed a combined $35,000 to KinVillage’s "It Takes A Village" campaign.

“As long-standing supporters of community initiatives, we are proud to contribute to The KinVillage Association 'It Takes a Village' fundraiser," says Dave and Yvonne Anderson, Founders of Santevia Water Systems. "We believe in the power of community and the importance of providing essential services to those in need. KinVillage plays a vital role in supporting our seniors, and we are honored to help ensure that the new Day Program space has the resources they deserve."

Bob and Margaret Meggy also shares their inspiration for supporting KinVillage. “Delta’s older adults offer so much to our community,” says Margaret. “They are our grandparents, our mentors and our volunteers. And as time passes, they need help too. We support the Day Program because we support families in our community.”

“On behalf of KinVillage, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Margaret and Bob Meggy, as well as Yvonne and David Anderson, for their generous donation to the It Takes a Village campaign,” says Kristen Thomas, director of development. “Their support truly embodies the spirit of community, helping us bring the Day Program for Older Adults to even more families in need. These gifts will provide essential resources to seniors and the caregivers who rely on this program for vital respite."

“When you give to seniors in need, you're not just giving a gift; you're strengthening our entire community,” says Jennifer Fisher, CEO of KinVillage. “Your generosity shows that we care for one another and that we value the contributions of our elders. Together, we can ensure they live their later years with dignity and joy.”

Stuart Cameron, KinVillage Board Vice President, adds, “Your thoughtful and generous contribution will help ensure that many South Delta seniors and their caregivers will continue to receive the support and companionship that will brighten their lives day after day. Our community is made better whenever we help those in need. Thank you for encouraging this giving spirit.”

KinVillage’s Day Program for Older Adults offers seniors a safe, engaging space with guided activities and provides respite for caregivers, allowing many older adults to stay at home, where they are happiest, rather than moving to assisted living facilities.

This holiday season, KinVillage calls on the community to help reach its $3 million campaign goal, with $1.5 million still needed. Every contribution helps create a supportive, engaging environment for seniors and provides caregivers the respite they need.
