There is lots of fun Christmas programming coming up at the Tsawwassen Library.

On the next non-instructional day, kick off the holiday season by designing and creating your own festive wreath.

Kids ages five and older are invited to Get Crafty: Festive Wreath Making on Monday, Nov. 25, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Foliage, seasonal embellishments and ribbon will be provided while supplies last. Wreath making is a fun and simple activity to do and is the perfect festive meet up for friends and families. Just bring yourself and your holiday spirit! Children under 10 must be accompanied by caregiver.

Letters to Santa: Dec. 1 to 14. Visit the library and write a letter to Santa at our letter writing station. All supplies provided including stationary, holiday stickers, envelopes and a Christmas mailbox.

Holiday ornament making: Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 3 to 4 p.m. Good friends, good cheer, it’s that time of year! Join us for some afternoon fun with our holiday ornament craft. All supplies provided. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Santa’s Drive In: Wednesday Dec. 4 from 3 to 4 p.m. On Donner, on Blitzen… Design your own cardboard sleigh using supplied craft materials. Later take your sleigh to our drive-in movie theatre, park it and settle in to watch a short Christmas movie. Movie snacks and beverages provided. To make sure we have enough cars, register today! For kids ages two and up. Children under 10 must be accompanied by caregiver. Registration is required.

Holiday Ornament Making: Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 3 to 4 p.m. Good friends, good cheer, it’s that time of year! Join us for some afternoon fun with our holiday ornament craft. All supplies provided. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Ugly Christmas cookie decorating party: Thursday, Dec. 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wear your favourite Christmas sweater, and decorate a Christmas cookie adorned with icing, sugar glitter, candy bits and other edibles. All supplies provided including gluten free cookie options.

Holiday sing-a-long and tea: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3 to 4 p.m. It’s time to Deck the Halls and put on that Jingle Bell Rock because Santa Claus is Coming to Town! Join us for a fun Christmas sing-along followed by tea and goodies. Our festive singing will be accompanied by members from the Tsawwassen Library Uke Group.

Christmas Storytime and Babytime Week: Monday, Dec. 16 to Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Christmas is coming, so time to get festive. Join us for a fun-filled, special Christmas Storytime and Babytime week filled with Christmas stories, songs, and rhymes.

Holiday ornament making: Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 3 to 4 p.m. Good friends, good cheer, it’s that time of year! Join us for some afternoon fun with our holiday ornament craft. All supplies provided. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Christmas Dance Party: Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 3 to 4 p.m. Come dressed in your Christmas best and dance in the Christmas spirit with us! Refreshments provided. For kids ages five and older. Children under 10 must be accompanied by caregiver.

Fraser Valley Regional libraries close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 31. The libraries will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, Thursday, Dec. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.
