All three Delta libraries have lots in store in the coming months

There are lots of programs available in the next few months at the Ladner Pioneer Library.

Seniors and their families are invited to an interactive Senior’s First BC presentation introducing the importance of staying connected.

Staying Connected: Preventing Social Isolation and Loneliness discusses issues of social isolation and loneliness, the correlation between social isolation and decreased well-being, and how we can do our part to stay connected with loved ones in our lives.

This program is suitable for seniors and their families. The program will be held on:

Friday, Nov. 15, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the George Mackie Library

Thursday, Dec. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ladner Pioneer Library

Thursday, Dec. 5, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Tsawwassen Library

Seniors Social

Dec. 6, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Join us for a monthly social at the library. Meet new friends as we explore art activities, board games, FVRL Playground items, and book recommendations. Refreshments and snacks provided.

Kanopy and Convos

Wednesdays, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, 2 to 3 p.m.

Join library staff for a viewing of a short film on Kanopy and stay for a discussion of the film afterwards. Popcorn and refreshments provided. Registration is required.

Tea and Tales

Saturdays, Nov. 16, Dec. 14, 2 to 3 p.m.  

Join library staff for a reading of short stories and a lively discussion afterwards.

Wednesdays, Nov. 27, Dec. 11, 11 a.m. to noon at McKee Seniors Centre

Join library staff for a reading of short stories and a lively discussion afterward. This program takes place at McKee Seniors Recreation Centre, 5155 47 Avenue, but no membership is required.

Holiday Ornament Making

Friday, Dec. 13, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Join us for a holiday craft session. We will be hand-stitching reindeer ornaments. Registration is required.

Holiday Baking Recipe Exchange

Wednesday, Dec. 18, 11 a.m. to noon

Tis' the season for holiday treats! Join is for a holiday baking recipe exchange at the library. Do you have a favourite holiday recipe you would like to share with others? Are you interested in learning new holiday baking recipes? Come and share baking stories and trade baking tips with friends. Please bring one or two recipes, or a favourite baking cookbook, to share with the group. Refreshments and holiday treats will be provided. Registration is required.
