First-time author Heather Pattullo's debut book is all about Canada.
"It's a book to encourage readers to learn about and love Canada a little bit more," says the Tsawwassen resident.
The offering, titled Positively Canadian, reveals and celebrates the country's "magnificent history, language and culture," a press release notes.
With colour photos and fun facts, the book covers unique tidbits about Canada as a whole and each chapter highlights the unique flavour of one province or territory.
Pattullo, who has a healthcare background, including working as a faculty member with the University of Victoria's school of nursing, retired in 2008.
She has a book signing set for Saturday, May 27 at 2 p.m. at Albany Books in Tsawwassen. Pattullo will also be at Black Bonds Books in Ladner on Sunday, June 4 from 1 to 3 p.m.
