Jan. 15, Public Safety Building, 11375 84th Ave.: Complainant reported purchasing tickets on Instagram to a sporting event. The seller requested the complainant e-transfer $160 before the tickets were delivered. Once the funds were transferred, the Instagram user ceased all communications with the complainant, and no tickets were received. The complainant understood the buyer beware principle but reported the incident to provide the bank with a police file number.

Jan. 17, Public Safety Building 11375 84th Ave.: Complainant reported they were the victim of online fraud. They had requested to join a chat group through Discord. The complainant sent a total of $800 to join the group. Subsequently they were removed from the chat and blocked by the user. The complainant was to provide police with a screenshot of the person they believe to be the fraudster. 

Jan. 19, 10800 Block of 84th Ave.: Complainant reported their catalytic converter was stolen sometime overnight from their vehicle parked in their driveway. Surveillance video to be provided to police for possible identification of a suspect.

Jan. 21, Public Safety Building 11375 84th Ave.: Complainant reported a family member purchased a PlayStation 4 for $180, on Facebook Marketplace. When they received the PS4 they found it did not function properly. When they attempted to message the seller, they found the seller had blocked the account. Police advised the issue was civil in nature and suggested the complainant report the occurrence/account to Facebook. 

Jan. 21, 10500 Block of 84th Ave.: Complainant reported a male walked onto their property and stole the seat cushions from their outdoor furniture. There was no damage to property, or any other items stolen.
