Delta doesn’t have a racetrack, although some drivers think it does.
Another excessive speeder has faced the consequences of their actions this week.
Delta police, in a post on their Facebook page, described another egregious speeding incident.
“Our team encountered a serious case of excessive speeding on Hwy 99 near the 17A approach to the tunnel, where a driver was clocked at an astonishing 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone,” said police. “As a result, they were fined $368, and their vehicle was impounded.
“Speed limits are set for a reason—your safety and the safety of everyone on the road. Ignoring speed limits risks heavy fines, vehicle impoundment, and, most importantly, endangers lives.”
