Two mini-vans impounded; drivers face fines for high speeds in North Delta

Three vehicles were impounded and their drivers fined for excessive speeding along Kittson Parkway in North Delta.

Delta police continue its crackdown on speeding drivers, this time in North Delta.

And it wasn't sports cars that were pulled over this time - it was a pair of minivans!

In a post on their Facebook page, police said recently one of its officers conducted laser speed enforcement on Kittson Parkway following a resident's complaint about excessive speeding.

“In this 50km/h zone, bordered by residential homes and Watershed Park, safety is our top priority,” say police. “Within just two hours, three vehicles were impounded for driving dangerously over the limit.”

The three vehicles included a minivan clocked at 94 km/h, a sedan at 95 km/h and another minivan reaching an alarming 107 km/h.

Each driver received a $368 fine for excessive speeding, and their vehicles will be impounded for seven days.
