North Delta Crime Beat: Vehicle busted up, more than $5,000 in damage

The purpose of the Crime Beat is to educate and inform the public about some of the property crime trends occurring in North Delta and other files of interest. Aug. 6, 11900 Block 92nd Avenue: Complainant reported the front and back windows and side mirror of their vehicle had been broken sometime overnight, while parked in front of their residence. Approximate damage to the vehicle is $5,000. Police attended and conducted a canvass of the neighbourhood for CCTV footage, which proved negative for any suspect(s). The complainant provided a file number for insurance purposes, and the vehicle was towed for repairs.

Aug. 8, 11300 Block 92nd Avenue: Complainant reported their 2021 Black Mercedes C300 was stolen, sometime overnight, while parked on the street. Both sets of keys accounted for. CCTV canvass of neighbourhood proved negative. The vehicle was added to the Canadian Police Information Centre as stolen.

Aug. 9, 11400 86th Avenue: Complainant reported the theft of personal items from their unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the street. Items stolen were a leather wallet with driver’s license, MSP card, credit/debit cards, fuel card, $50 Canadian, and $15 US. Also stolen were a pair of Ray ban sunglasses valued at $200.

Aug. 11, 9300 Block 118th Street: Complainant reported the theft of their Uber Eats food order valued at $20, taken from the front steps of the residence. CCTV footage provided to police shows an unknown male 20 to 30-years-old, 5’10”, medium build, wearing glasses and a long sleeve black shirt. The complainant advised to contact Uber Eats for possible refund.

Aug. 11, 10900 Block Warwick Road: Complainant reported the sunroof of their 2023 Black Audi S5 had been smashed while it was parked in the driveway of the residence overnight. Estimated damage is approximately $1,500. Incident reported to police and insurance company. No CCTV footage available.
