The Boundary Bay Bluebacks are swimming for a cause!

Swimmers in the club will be testing their endurance and strength through a swim-a-thon and donating the money to the BC Burn Fund. The Burn Fund Centre has programs to help support survivors through every step of their recovery journey.

Swimmers in the club will swim as many lengths as possible, and raise donations based on their goals. Swimmers will range from age four through age 20.

The swim-a-thon will take place at the Winskill Aquatic Centre on Friday, July 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The Bluebacks encourage anyone who is able to jump in and support the cause as well by donating to the BC Burn Fund at https://burnfund.org/donate-now/. Be sure to add “Bluebacks Swim-a-thon” to the additional comments with your donation so that the club can keep track of the money raised.

Donations will be accepted for the club until July 21.

The Boundary Bay Bluebacks is a summer swimming club that offers participants the ability to enhance their swimming skills through fun activities and competition.

Swimmers in the club practice daily and compete in meets across the Fraser River region on weekends.
