*Oct. 24, 1400 block of Lindsey Place: A business reported a break and enter from an unlocked storage trailer backed into a loading dock. Eleven boxes of aluminum channel foil valued at $3,000 were stolen. Police attended and seized sheet metal snips with green handles found in the trailer. Photographs taken of the scene and strategies discussed to prevent future theft.
*Oct. 25, 700 Block of Cliveden Place: Complainant reported the theft of the catalytic converter from a company vehicle parked in front of the business. The theft occurred sometime over the past week and reported late as the complainant out of town. A file number provided for an ICBC claim.
*Oct. 25, 9500 Block of 120th Street: A report received from a family restaurant that they had been broken into and a cash register and payment machine stolen. No signs of forced entry, but video surveillance shows a male suspect wearing gloves and mask picking the front door lock. Total value of lost property approximately $5,600.
*Oct. 27, 7000 Block of 115A Street: Complainant reported the theft of the catalytic converted from their vehicle parked in the driveway. Nothing for identification services as vehicle already dropped off at repair shop. Neighbourhood canvass proved negative.
*Oct. 27, 11500 Block of 71A Avenue: Report received from complainant of the theft of the catalytic converter from their vehicle parked in the driveway of their residence. Neighbours indicated they may have surveillance video, which will be examined.
*Oct. 28, 900 Block of Cliveden Avenue: Complainant reported two parties associated with an older model blue Dodge Ram truck entered the business parking lot and stole numerous boxes from two different trailers. Police attended and were advised five trailers had been entered, but items only missing from two trailers. The theft occurred while the business was still open. Surveillance video will be retrieved and provided to police.
*Oct. 29, 11300 Block of 84th Avenue: Complainant reported they had lost $936 through a fake Facebook Marketplace account. The complainant sent pictures and receipts of multiple gift cards before they realized the situation was fraudulent. Police discussed strategies with the complainant to prevent future fraud.
*Oct. 30, 8600 Block of 116th Street: Complainant reported three windows of their parent’s vehicle had been smashed. Police attended and reviewed surveillance video which showed three suspects in dark clothing and hoodies smash the windows while attempting to light what is believed to be fireworks. File number provided for an ICBC claim.
