Sept. 27, 11400 Block of 82nd Avenue: Complainant reported they parked their bike, without a lock, at North Delta Secondary, and when they returned after a short time, the bike was gone. The school indicated surveillance video pointed directly at the site where the bike was parked will likely capture a picture of the suspect. The School Liaison Officer was to examine the camera footage.

Sept. 27, 10500 Block of Nordel Way: Police observed two vehicles speeding and changing lanes. Both vehicles sped past the police vehicle and were obviously pacing each other. Speed of both vehicles were 116 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. Both drivers were served with tickets for travelling at an excessive speed, an immediate seven-day roadside prohibition, and the vehicles impounded.

Sept. 27, 10800 63rd Avenue: Complainant reported they parked their vehicle in the driveway and accidently left it unlocked. A Milwaukee drill and battery valued at $200 were stolen. Police attended and found surveillance video, which revealed a male arriving on a bicycle and checking the door handles on multiple vehicles. Surveillance video was not suitable for dissemination.

Sept. 29, Hwy 91 South of 72nd Avenue: Police observed a vehicle on the shoulder of the highway with a person in the driver’s seat and the keys in the ignition. An odour of liquor was detected on the driver’s breath. Two breath samples provided by the driver both read “Fail”.  As a result, the driver was given a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition, and a 30-day vehicle impoundment. The vehicle towed was from the scene and the drive transported to nearby bus loop.
